More on Mark Felt
(Added later:) Now the Washington Post's Bob Woodward has confirmed Felt is Deep Throat. See lots of coverage on The Post's Web site.
This story is steamrolling, so links to some interesting stuff about Mark Felt (who has supposedly admitted being 'Deep Throat', see below):
Deep Throat: an institutional analysis, article in The Atlantic by former Washington Post reporter Jim Mann, published in 1992, stating why 'Throat' had to be an FBI man.
The Game is Afoot, a 1999 Slate article about the college student who wrote a paper saying he'd been told Felt was 'Throat' by Carl Bernstein's sons, Jacob and Max, while the three were in camp years before. This article also contains some Nixon quotes from the White House tapes in which he disparages Felt, especially when he finds out Felt is Jewish.
